I have no reviews were found for this model car so it's about time I thought. Now I have no experience with writing reviews but may state here yet information in the future rider (s). The car is now in my possession since the end of April 2013. I was very skeptical about the engine volume. My previous car was a Ford Mondeo 2.0 petrol from 2008 and had the idea to take a step back. I wanted less aggregation and an MPV-like model. So the only one who could offer something here was the Grand C-Max.

The car has surprised me in a positive way:
- the handling is just fine, even mention tight I think. The car it leans a little more about it than my previous Mondeo.
- Cubic says less about engine performance. I recently picked up my tent trailer and mark only that it hangs out. In that respect he is not inferior to the old Mondeo. You also feel a little push the turbo in your back. Those two liters of gasoline was more evenly. I have just driven a Megane 1.5 DCi Renault, this is somewhat stronger than the 1.0 EcoBoost. The EcoBoost is quieter.
- He's still delicious. You hear especially tire noise and wind noise.
- Good view all around.
- Navigation is clear. Just a pity that you can not change the voice and can play with the colors (I have the upgraded Sony radio).
- The speed stays nice and low (120 km / h is around 2800 rpm in his 6). According to the ECOnetic fashion should I switch very quickly (at 2,000 rpm) but I still manage very, very against my (engine technical) I feel.
- Consumption is now 7.3 liters per 100 km. When the car was new, this was 8.2 liters per 100 km. The car has become significantly more efficient.
- At 500 km I had abroad roadside. When starting a hard thud, no power and noise of a broken exhaust. Through Ford Assistence came ADAC, it appeared that the turbo hose at the front was loose. I had already seen yourself "had to" wait for the ADAC. Afterwards in control at the dealership in Holland there appeared caught a snake at all. A little sloppy Ford, but eventually everything is solved.
- The seats are slightly worse than in my Mondeo. The length of the seat feels slightly shorter (but is in theory the same length). Now I am 1,96 m so that does not help.
- There is also a gadget, reverse parking. Very funny, but it works again. 1 time "he was still on the sidewalk.

For now I am a very happy rider and wonder how the car complies with the trailer when we go on vacation to the mountains.

(running costs are adequate, have no insight here)
continued (10,300 km)

With the fully packed car roof box and folding been on vacation to the mountains. No problem for the car to pull the trailer. With a cruising speed of 100 km / h (on the counter) towards destination in 5th gear. In 6th gear would go, but then the torque when overtaking very limited. In his five you back to about 85 km / h and then still easily overtake a truck.

Fit also riding in the mountains (without trailer) is fine, sat pull. I do not feel that, compared to my previous car (2.0 l Mondeo) to hand pull.

The only issue is getting used, including folding. The engine brake very little on the engine so quickly choose another gear and ride in his second down the mountain. Continue braking is not an option. In his second makes the engine more easily than 4000 rpm at normal speed down. Despite this, you notice that in terms of sound barely in the car.

The consumption of 7.3 l / 100 km to 7.6 l / 100 km gone. Covered with rather it. In its totality drove more than 3,000 km.

In general, the car drives very easy on the mountain and I am very satisfied with the performance.
Fine car (20,000 km)

By now it is time for service. You do not notice to the drive that it is necessary. Few small things that just need to be attended.

This car bought due zzp job and painting. My last a Passat station wagon was not practical enough for this. 2nd owner bought a coffee shop owner who had taken him from a private individual. Very cheap bought related conditions with some maintenance. After a beurtje two new bands, diesel filter, he was again ready for use. An average of 15 - 20k per year an economical and versatile car. At the 1st MOT disapproval on putcorosie vd rear brake lines offer refresh: nearly 500, -. I saw nothing and got a second opinion went to another garage, which was rejected and told that if she would approve. Corrosion was really minimal and therefore approved. after a year of trouble-free ride back to inspection. Advance new exhaust underneath due sporty sound and approved again.
Meanwhile 3rd year in which surely some maintenance was needed: timing belt and water pump replaced. Multi Belt was bad so even replaced. On the advice of my mechanic now replace the brake lines, however, for a third vd garage price! drive and stop 1keer cases (diesel filter leak. replaceable and drive again). for the last test four new tires on it because of ash winter and again by the MOT. The total cost which I have been issued so far to repair since the purchase are well within the "normal maintenance costs." So I'm happy about this !!
