Started a TOYOYA Corolla 1.6 sport from 1988, when a to S2 specs converted Audi Coupe 2.3E, followed by a Mazda 323 Coupe 1.5 (where this forum is also a review of state), then a VW Golf Mark 2 1.6CL (world car !!!), a Mazda 323 sedan 1.5 LX (also a world car !!!), an Opel Corsa TR 1.3N (super fun car to drive but et rust problem .. ..zucht), when a BMW 525i automatic from the E34 series, followed by three Alfa Romeos namely a widebody 155 1.6 16V 1997, a 155 widebody 1600 engine trofeo 1996 and then the topper, a 164 3.0 V6 AUT off 1989 (sublime car).

And now there is a 155 under the old system, so small body, with the entry-level engine 1750 cc twin spark chain distribution. Truly a top engine. Much smoother than the 1600 16 clappers who came after, plus reliable distribution chain, no adjustable camshaft so no problems even with that. I have the most simple version with only heating and electric windows plus power steering. No aircon or ecc therefore it can not break up. It is a reliable and beautiful car to see. You see them all less, so something special. Road holding is fine even after the installation of auxiliary rear springs. Biggest plus is the flexible engine that provides good home at any speed, I can only say ... really really good. Furthermore, conventional or Alfa 155 brake ailments ... you should really inspect regularly and commonly make otherwise they begin to walk. And outlet now ordered all 2x. I also have the thermocouple of the heatsink bypassed by a switch on the dashboard in the car. Much more reliable !!! Oh .... also replaced again ... alfa 155 disease .... thermostat housing. But no other crazy things. I have the car fitted with a genuine mahogany dashboard, black leather upholstery, wooden Nardi steering wheel and CD changer unit.

In short ... reliable and comfortable travel car that you still do not need to be ashamed if you get to drive it. The looks stay beautiful and timeless and you can see the model little more drive.

September 29 was the day finally arrived, we could see our new Toledo 1.4 TDI Style Connect up at the dealership. The last car has always complied but this could surrendered after five years with the boss.
The budget was limited and the employer required a VAG group car or Volvo.
After a test ride in the V40 D2 showed that this car really was too small for my 1.97 meters.
After much looking around and specificities have assured read our choice fell on the Toledo 1.4 TDI Style Connect
Our choice for Toledo is based on the hugely spacious trunk combined with the rich equipment of the Style Connect implementation. It has become the 1.4TDI 1.6TDI fell because its additional cost of 2,000 euros out of our budget.

After 1 1/2 months and 8500km I can now confidently say that it was a good choice. The 1.4TDI turn off pretty easy when starting but here is get used to quickly. Furthermore, it is a fine motor that is not present in sound, until you really going to charge him. Then you hear him but never unpleasant. Flashy car is nice and quiet and a lot more comfortable than the previous car (Ibiza).
A ride 1150km to the Czech Republic was very doable. On the way the car is equally topped at 195kmh (hill).

The entertainment system also works very pleasant, nice clear menu structure and good sound. The radio also looking super fast stations.
The consumption data are also very nicely displayed and we find either that we use it to drive economically.

If I have to mention one drawback is that consumption is still very low when we fast consumption is coming up over 100kmh. As we sit regularly on the highway, this consumption is not good.
The average for the first 8200km is 1 in 17.85, but this includes 2300km hard drive in germany and the czech republic.
If I ride disregards the average 1 19.5.

I suspect that when the engine is slightly more powerful it much easier highway has speeds and can therefore more economical. When my private car was I had been to let him chip tuning, unfortunately that is not an option as the car of the matter.
