After more than 5 years satisfactorily with a Toyota Avensis driven we are to have us go look around for another car. Not because we were unhappy, but because of the fact that Toyota has now are more than 240,000 kilometers on the clock.
Many weeks been trying to figure out whether private lease for us could be an option. All the pros and cons weighed against each other and finally decided to buy the KIA Ce'ed based on private leases.
Chosen for the GT Line, with the additional option the sliding sunroof. For the rest of the car (almost) all the options provided you can imagine. Obviously considered a Toyota Auris, but it has a higher monthly fee and is less complete.
The car ordered KIA dealer Log Cabin in Amersfoort. Perfect service, no nonsense expert salespeople who know what they are talking about. And not unimportant: receiving a neat exchange price for the Toyota. The KIA was in stock and was at a new owner waiting in the port of Rotterdam. This week's car arrived at the dealership and next week he will be delivered. From that moment on I will write a comprehensive review on this car. Appreciation I can only issue on the basis of the test drive, so I just as soon as I rode the first kilometers.
The first kilometers (350 km)
Saturday, February 13 car by KIA Blockhouse is actually delivered. After transfer of the papers and the expert explanation by the sales representative made the first kilometers.
The car is wonderfully comfortable. Since it is a GT Line version concerns would you expect the car less comfortable with the tight tuning of the chassis, but even with this adjustment drive the car peacefully. From some reviews I gather that the 17-inch wheels provide a restless behavior. This opinion I do not share, however.
The diesel is within barely audible at a constant speed in the car. Shifting is smooth and straight and you notice it clear that the car wants ahead if you switch back to prepare an overtaking maneuver.
As for luxury this car has everything on board. Of course I can go a whole list here mention all there is in this car, but I'm probably more rapidly stating what is not in it. No leather upholstery and Lane Depature Warning. For the rest, you are provided as driver equipped.
The clocks in the cockpit are divided into three pieces. The left clock displays the speed again, the rightmost clock the tank. In the central clock is projected speedometer. This is therefore not a fixed needle above a graduated scale but a kind of computer screen. In addition to the projected velocity can here be all information in that is relevant at that moment in front of the driver. By a button on the steering wheel can be selected from the various information options (eg on-board computer).
The multifunction steering wheel are controls for phone, audio volume and audio selection, cruise control, speed reducer, stuurbekrachtingsregelaar and menu buttons for info on information display. The steering wheel is also equipped with heating for the cold winter days.
The navigation system is just fine! Clear adjustable map and a clear female voice navigation. This voice came a bit too noisy inside the interior, so which I have but just as soon put a little less harsh.
The first kilometers are traveled from Amersfoort to Oberhausen and vice versa. In Germany, the car 180 kilometers per hour to allow tapping. Since I wanted to entrust yet fully motor I left it at that. The fact that my fellow passengers had not noticed how quickly we approached Oberhausen says something about the comfort of the Cee'd. I expect that will be the top speed of the car to 195 kilometers per hour.
On consumption, I can not say that much. When your car information will appear off the display on the last ridden ride. Here, an average of 5.9 liters was indicated at 100 kilometers. I think this is already a very acceptable consumption. My previous car (Toyota Avensis Diesel) had an average consumption of 7.9 liters per 100 kilometers.
Xenon lights on this car is an absolute featuret. Wonderful light output that clearly illuminates the entire width of a two-lane highway. Depending on the load of the car, the height of the lighting is automatically adjusted.
The seating position behind the steering wheel can be individually perfectly adjusted by height and depth adjustable steering wheel and height-adjustable seats. Both front seats are also equipped with a button for back support and seat heating.
The car is equipped with keyless entry technology. That means that the key just in your pocket. At the moment you will expire on the car, the mirrors fold down, fire there LED lighting at the bottom of the mirrors and at the bottom of the door handles. By means of a button on the handle of the door can then be opened. Close works the same way: button on the handle and press the mirrors fold.
Finally, I would like to report that the car is also equipped with a panoramic roof that can be opened partly. My children are very enthusiastic about this.
The first experiences with this car are so very positive. If there is again something to report, I will of course expand this review. Certainly as regards the Reiden with a caravan, but that will take a few months.
