'Reliable' is the first word I think of when I'm talking about my Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Inform. Already four years of ownership, newly purchased in August 2006. By buying I immediately invested in a G3 system, which I every time I have to refuel still benefit. For about two decades back a full (gas) tank.
Interior and Exterior:
The exterior of the car is fine, not too much fuss. I admit that there are fancier cars, but primarily I buy a car to drive. It is striking that you see them much. The advantage is that you see it be quite fast on a crowded parking lot. His nose still falls well quickly, but the back is pretty boring. I am not a man of options, so my Lancer stands on standard 17-inch wheels and is free of side skirts and the like. The experience of last winter does have me decide soon to purchase winter tires, but that really has nothing to do with the car itself.
The interior is good enough for me. I admit that there is something to be noted by:
* Not really liked the red dashboard illumination
* an unfortunate place for bottles / cups near the handbrake
* noisy if a rear window is open
* the position of the tow bar indicator in the dashboard escapes me.
But otherwise: Fine. Good seats, enough space in the back. Trunk big enough for two dogs. Anyway, standard accescoires enough to make enjoyable driving.
Driving and consumption:
I perceive that it takes some effort to go to the 100. I never clocked, but refer to my fellow road users that the Lancer something falls short. Once up to speed, there is no cloud in the sky. My conservative behavior is not often above 150 km / h, but until that speed is fine (weather and traffic permits, and there is no car 'Look on the road nearby).
I feel he is well on the road, a little too sensitive to strong winds. The cornering is going well, indeed, for his height he is quite agile.
Consumption of 1: 11.5 is not bad, but I notice something about it. That means an operating range of around 425 KM (gas).
Problems: Here I can briefly be: No! In all those four years, the Lancer not abandoned me. However, once even run on three cylinders and once switched late from LPG to petrol. Remedy: allow read and drive again.
My conclusion: A perfect car that is sadly undervalued. You see him, after all, never stand in a car magazine. so I have no reason to buy another. I drive for a while. Though my attention be drawn from the current 'green' cars that do not have BPM and motor vehicle tax and a consumption of 1 to 20.
Continued (142.000 km)
Meanwhile, and years later (03-09-11) with about 142,000 on the counter. A year without problems though. Last week also passed the MOT without problems. Only the right rear tire a little crooked threadbare, but not disapproving point.
My search on a tax-free car anyway just stop put. Why? Well, it just does it very well. Moreover, I have to do such a heavy investment that I recouped the MRB savings only after 5 or 6 years. And what does politics with ERA after 2014? The exchange rate plays a role. Yet now 5 years old with not a few KM. Enough, the dealer back? I think I have about 2 to 3 years will get relatively more. But that's obviously speculation.
Anyway, the Lancer mog suits me very well, no problems, relatively low maintenance and still very reliable. I sail so on the facts and the 'good feeling'.
Continued (202 450 km)
Well, another year and a lot of kilometers away. The car suits me actually still supreme best, despite the age (7 1/2 years) and the still-not-modest mileage.
Appearance just fine, even got a compliment from the dealer.Ja, I am careful with! Within some small smetjes, actually just the front seats, there is almost never anyone back. Motor perfectly. .... But, do not you constantly burning engine management light, due to unspecified solve problems on the gas. According to the dealer absolutely can not hurt. Turns out to be, because I'm driving again for a long time with the light without problems. Every now and then you feel a slight bump, that's all. Of course walking (or rather row) your risk of missing another failure, but risk I take.
Another car? No, not even provisionally. Recently seriously looked at a Hyunday i20 2009, 1.6 liter, black. Splendour car. But yes, the consumption is approximately at 1:13, maybe 1:14. On gasoline. Well, just for all variable and fixed costs calculated in an Excel program, and guess what: I drive now anyway cheaper. Because slight depreciation, now no comprehensive insurance, gas is still cheaper approximately one euro per liter. And my car is 1: 11.6. So, I keep my Lancer still as true, which is still riding his 1st battery 1st outlet.
Who knows, in the three tons! Time will tell, I'll let you know, whether it be another few years.
Still going strong (254 300 km)
With a decent experience the car is still delicious. No thunder, no problems, drive nice. The servicing and inspections are still going according to plan: no annoying things. I trust this car still and give him a lot of mileage and years to me.
