Halfway through 2014, the Agila was on sale because the model eventually was replaced by Karl. Thereby Opel earned him a number of standard extras.
The Agila deserve any beauty contests but particularly ugly he is not. Beautiful brunette 'Mocha color' is it chic. You hear about the Agila sometimes it's a senior car. Now, we have two full-time working in their thirties and we believe that seniors can take very good rational decisions (life experience?). Here in the village, moreover, are many Agila and that not all seniors. And well, who is still today's image-sensitive?
What attracted me was that the Agila is technically subcutaneous virtually identical to the Suzuki Splash (even on the parts condition Suzuki instead of Opel). The 1.0-12v engine Suzuki has a virtually indestructible name. This combined with a solid / upscale finishes Opel Agila and the fact that for years the most reliable Opel (or anyway :-) Suzuki and is thus one of the most reliable cars out there for sale: the choice was quickly made. A successful (technical) marriage between Opel and Suzuki. My Opel Dealer gives therefore a 3 year warranty instead of the standard two years on other models.
The Agila was also available with the 1.2-16v engine Opel Agila which was extremely nimble.
The finish is neat, but no hard plastic rattles and cracks. The dashboard has a nice color and has organized / ease. It's a pretty simple car when I compare him with our brand new SUV, our 'main car but we have not bought him. The operating expenses, compared to the Corsa has given way to the Agila, really tiny. Everything is the Agila feels solid than direction indicator lamps. Which give you the feeling too enthusiastic use to break down.
The Agila is very handy to use and with the 1.0 engine does not even run so very disagreeable, such as 3-cillin managers try to do, he comes (emotionally) on spicy. Because of the high carriage car sways more in the turns, but also by the fine droning engine noise, the Agila can even generate a sporty feel. It is very nice to drive this car. I even dare to say that an Agila who can act well thus increasing its skills / safety. In the city, 'ie light and fast on the motorway it' s all to do well. It's not a punishment. Adjust slightly too loud over 130km / h, the engine noise and the radio must harder to continue to follow the news.
We drive therefore long distances with. That's fine. It is notable that other road users still take a turn when they are suddenly overtaken by a Agila. People think 'Agila' I think often the Agila A, the blocks (which were also indestructible). The Agila B is surely become a completely different car.
A comfortable Agila? It's all easy to do. Thresholds he does take quite hard (short wheelbase your brand) and the seat is rather flat but it's not all a punishment. That's why we ride almost as sweet with the Agila 300km as with our other car. Why "almost as sweet? Our 'main car is very comfortable and because the Agila has no cruise control. This was not available.
Still has a small criticism, the Agila 'only' 4 stars in the crash test.
We are all small in the family including the space for us not so important, but even friends of 1.95cm are not wrong in the Agila. Anyway you have in the Agila is not the idea to be on the road with a small car. The high seating will be there to help, you still looking bit of rest 't traffic from.
With its average consumption of 1:19 (and we just ride with 't traffic, we drive no faster or slower than the rest), we are more than satisfied.
Technically we still had nothing at all to. Everything work properly, no extra garage visits and just 1x per year maintenance. Just a sober strong car, may still remain long as we get there easily again 10 years more. Should still be some events which I will mention in this review.
